FUN NC Wedding!

You can tell this was really a FUN wedding! Ashlee and Matt chose to marry at Deerfield's, a beautiful, rustic mountain getaway. All their friends and family enjoyed this special occasion and we enjoyed being part of it!

Shanna and Jeff's Wedding

The heat didn't keep this adorable couple from tying the knot in a beautiful ceremony on Saturday. The setting at the groom's home was perfect...beautiful pastures, horses and SUNNY weather...congratulations, Shanna and Jeff!

Classy Wedding This Weekend!

Candace and Barrett Boatright's wedding was followed by a reception at the Boatright Farm, complete with a large tent with several sitting areas for guests! The weather threatened, but in the end, the event went off without a hitch as friends and family enjoyed the celebration.

Families Are Precious!

Families...while none are perfect, all are special! Our family had a wonderful gathering of the clan this Christmas and were all very thankful that our wonderful Mother could still read us a special story, despite her broken leg! While some whine that "Our families know which buttons to push because they installed them", others of us are grateful that we've lived long enough to understand that each of us must accept PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for how we respond to any button-pushing (if we even call it that!) We wish all families a wonderful and prosperous NEW YEAR!

The Blizzard of '09!

We're snowed in here in western North Carolina...storm arrived early on Friday am and we awoke to several inches of snow. The snow continued on Friday; by Saturday, we had nearly 20 inches! Beautiful, but very confining for us as we're at the top of a small mountain, so we've practiced patience and made a very long list of things to buy before this happens again!!
