Flooding Still Apparent in South Georgia
Here's what's left of the flooding at the Okefenokee Country Club as of this morning.
Here's the train at Jamestown; this crossing was closed yesterday because part of it was under water. The water at the right is the "pond" that is usually sandpits.
This is a home located off the Blackshear Highway...sad.
This is the Altamaha River in Wayne County...most of the year, there's a small sandbar where the brush is growing in the river and all the water up in the woods on the left of the river isn't there!

"Magic is a sudden opening of the mind to the wonder of existence. It is a sense that there is much more to life than we usually recognize; that we do not have to be confined by the limited views that our family, our society, or our own habitual thoughts impose on us; that life contains many dimensions, depths, textures, and meanings extending far beyond our familiar beliefs and concepts."

Thank you for sharing the pictures of the flooding in South Georgia. Through your work, I was able to actually see how this area has been affected. Although I've been away for almost three years, Waycross is still "home." Flooding may be apparent right now, but I'm sure that the sweet spirit of the people will not waver. Thanks again,
Anna Crawford
